Elder Affirmations
Elder Affirmation Process
We are deeply grateful for the Elders who faithfully serve at Landing Place Church. While they contribute in many ways, their primary responsibilities include:
- Shepherding and caring for the church family
- Providing spiritual guidance, oversight, and support to the Lead Pastor
- Developing theological position papers for clarity and unity
- Ensuring doctrinal accountability for the Lead Pastor and ministry teams, while offering pastoral support
Scripture outlines both the role and qualifications of local church Elders (Acts 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9), and these passages guide our process.
Each year, our church family has the opportunity to affirm new Elder candidates and reaffirm those currently serving. In the spirit of transparency and accountability, anyone in our congregation who has a concern regarding a candidate may submit that concern in writing via the link below so it can be addressed in a biblical and timely manner.
After a 30-day period which will begin December 14, 2025 and end January 13, 2026, continuing and oncoming Elders will be affirmed and installed to serve.
